Is Coachful a good Teachable alternative for coaches?
Yes if you coach live clients. Teachable is a course platform whose coaching product links out to Calendly and Zoom and has no contracts, habits, or client progress dashboard. Coachful sells courses and downloads too, then adds booking with two-way calendar sync, built-in video, e-signed agreements, programs, habits, and check-ins.
What are Teachable’s transaction fees?
Starter ($39/mo, $29 annual) carries a 7.5% platform fee. Builder ($89/mo, $69 annual), Growth ($189/mo, $139 annual), and Custom are 0%. Processing through teachable:pay is 2.9% plus 30 cents on US cards and 3.9% plus 30 cents international. Coachful has a 0% platform fee on every plan; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing.
What are Teachable’s student limits?
Starter allows 100 active students and 5 products, Builder 1,000 students and 10 products, Growth 5,000 students and 50 products. Reviewers describe this as per-learner pricing in practice. Coachful Lite is capped at 5 clients for $29/mo, Solo at 20 clients for $49/mo, and Pro is unlimited at $99/mo.
When is Teachable the better choice?
When you sell a few courses to a big audience and want tax, VAT, and affiliate payouts handled by BackOffice. Coachful creates affiliate links and tracks clicks, conversions, and attributed revenue, but you handle affiliate payouts manually. Teachable also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on new plans.
Can I move my Teachable students to Coachful?
Yes. Teachable exports students as CSV from Users, plus sales and course reports. Video content has to be downloaded manually since there is no bulk course export. Bring the CSV to onboarding and we import your list and help rebuild courses and coaching packages.
