What is the best website builder for coaches?

7 min read1,595 wordsChecked 22 September 2026

Almost any tool will build a coaching website. Squarespace, WordPress, Webflow and half the products on this page all produce something perfectly good-looking.

The criterion here is narrower and it is the part that decides revenue rather than impressions: whether a visitor who has decided to book can do it on the page, or whether they are handed off to a scheduler on another domain and a payment page after that.

Every handoff loses a share of people who had already decided, and in consumer coaching that share is not small.

The short answer

Ranked by booking and payment on the page rather than a link away, Coachful is first from $29 a month and we make it, with Kajabi at $179 building better pages and Systeme.io at $27 the cheapest. The criterion is not page design — it is whether a visitor who has decided can act without leaving.

Every tool, in detail

1

Coachful

Coachful puts the site, the booking and the payment on one domain, so a visitor who has decided completes without a handoff.

On page building and design tooling we rank below Kajabi and GoHighLevel. The criterion here is conversion rather than craft, and those are genuinely different things.

Best for

Coaches whose site exists to produce bookings rather than to be a publication.

Where it falls down

Kajabi and GoHighLevel both build pages more flexibly than we do.

2

Kajabi

Kajabi has the best page builder on this page along with the strongest funnel and email tooling, and for a content-led site it is a better product than ours.

It has no scheduling, so a coaching site built on it hands visitors off to a separate booking product — which is the specific leak this list measures.

Best for

Content-led businesses where the site and funnels are the main asset.

Where it falls down

No booking on the page, which is the gap this criterion measures.

3

Systeme.io

Systeme.io builds pages and funnels with a checkout at $27, which is the cheapest way here to get a converting sales page.

No booking layer, so a coaching consultation still requires a separate scheduler and the handoff that goes with it.

Best for

Coaches who need a converting sales page at the lowest possible cost.

Where it falls down

No booking layer at all, so consultations hand off to another product.

4

GoHighLevel

GoHighLevel builds pages and funnels with booking and payment attached, which covers this criterion completely at $97.

It is built for agencies, so a solo coach gets far more capability than the site needs and a configuration project measured in weeks.

Best for

Where it falls down

Agency-scale complexity for a solo practice.

5

Mighty Networks

Mighty Networks provides a public-facing surface for a community with membership checkout attached, which works for a community-led business.

It has no scheduling, so a consultation booking is a handoff, and the site itself is partial rather than a full marketing website.

Where it falls down

No booking, and a partial website rather than a full one.

6

Thinkific

Thinkific provides course landing pages with a checkout, which converts a course sale on the page competently.

No booking layer, so a coaching consultation hands off, and the site is course-shaped rather than practice-shaped.

Where a coaching website actually leaks

The handoff to a scheduler. A visitor clicks "book a call" and arrives somewhere with different branding, a different domain and a cookie banner. A measurable share do not continue.

The handoff to payment. Booking completes, then an email arrives with an invoice, and the client pays tomorrow or does not.

The mobile version. A large share of coaching enquiries arrive on a phone at an inconvenient hour, and a booking flow that requires three taps on a desktop requires eleven on a phone.

None of these is about page design. A beautiful site with two handoffs converts worse than a plain one with none, and coaches consistently optimise the first thing and not the second.

What a coaching website is actually for

Not traffic. Most coaching sites receive very few visitors, and the ones they do receive have usually arrived from a referral, a podcast or a search for the coach by name.

It is for converting people who are already interested, and for being credible to people checking you out — a corporate buyer before a first call, a referred client before they enquire, a podcast listener deciding whether to bother.

That changes what to optimise. With forty visitors a month, a redesign is worth almost nothing and removing a handoff between the page and the booking is worth a measurable share of them. Coaches consistently spend on the first and ignore the second.

What actually has to be on it

  • Who you help, specifically enough that the right person recognises themselves
  • What the engagement is and roughly what it costs
  • Three testimonials from situations a visitor would recognise
  • A way to book that does not leave the page
  • Your own domain, which is about $12 a year

Where forty visitors a month actually go

Illustrative, for a typical small coaching site. The point is the shape rather than the exact figures.

StagePeopleWhat loses them
Arrive on the page40
Read past the first screen~20Not recognising themselves in it
Click to book~6No clear next step, or no price signal
Reach the booking page~4A handoff to a different domain

At this scale a redesign moves almost nothing and removing one handoff moves a meaningful share, which is the opposite of where attention usually goes.

Common questions

What is the best website builder for coaches?

Against booking and payment on the page, Coachful from $29 a month and we make it. Kajabi at $179 and GoHighLevel at $97 build better pages; Kajabi has no booking, which is the gap on this criterion.

Do coaches need a website?

In most niches, yes. A booking page converts someone who has already decided; a website is what persuades them, and in a crowded niche it is frequently the only comparison a buyer makes before enquiring at all.

Should booking be on the page or a separate link?

On the page. Every handoff to a different domain with different branding loses a share of visitors who had already decided, and that share is largest on mobile at inconvenient hours.

Is a custom domain worth it?

Yes, and it is one of the cheapest things on this page. Around $12 a year, against a booking page on somebody else’s subdomain that reads as provisional at any meaningful engagement value.

Can I use Squarespace or WordPress instead?

For the pages, easily. Booking and payment then become embeds or handoffs, which is exactly the leak this criterion measures. It works; it just costs conversion.

How much traffic does a coaching website get?

Usually very little, and most of it arrives already interested — from a referral, a podcast, or a search for your name. That is why conversion matters far more than design at this scale.

Do I need a multi-page website?

Rarely at the start. One page saying who you help, what the engagement is, what it costs and how to book covers nearly all of it. Pages accumulate usefully later, when you know what people ask.

Should I redesign my coaching website?

Usually not first. At forty visitors a month a redesign moves almost nothing, while removing a handoff between the page and the booking moves a measurable share. Fix the path to booking, then worry about the design.

The verdict

Kajabi and GoHighLevel build better pages than we do, and if the site itself is the asset — heavy content, funnels, lots of landing pages — either is a stronger choice.

Coachful wins the stated criterion because the booking and the payment happen on the page rather than two domains later. For most coaching sites the number of visitors is small enough that conversion matters more than design, which is the opposite of where attention usually goes.

How to disagree with this

The criterion is the whole argument. If breadth is not what you need, this order is irrelevant to you and a different list will serve you better. That is why there are several, each ordered by something different.

For a version of the same products with no ordering at all, the alphabetical directory lists every one of them and picks nothing.
